| The
Hospice does not routinely administer intravenous therapy.
The decision to institute intravenous rehydration therapy is a medical decision based on appropriate discussion and agreement. The aim of therapy is to improve patient comfort and quality of life and will be reviewed after 48 hours. The
policy can be discussed on request with the Medical Director or
Matron. |
