| The
Macmillan Physiotherapist provides a dedicated service to both inpatients
and patients attending the day care unit. There is effective liaison
between the hospital, hospice and community services.
The Hospital Lymphoedema Nurse provides an on request advice and treatment service. In addition one of the hospice staff nurses is trained in lymphoedema therapy and provides basic therapy under the guidance and direction of the hospital nurse. By arrangement patients are admitted to the inpatient unit for short periods of intensive lymphoedema therapy. The
Podiatrist provides a weekly treatment session for inpatients and
day care. |
